This is a truly inspiring place. Mol Ban is an absolute delight, but the Isle of Harris is special. What a location to simplify life and delight all the senses with simple beauties:

How blinding the blackness is on overcast nights

That sweet, earthy smell of someone's peat fire, like the ground itself in a dram of whisky
-
The feel of the coarse heather, tough in the winds but tender to the touch
-
The taste of salt air on the purity of silken water coming down from naked hills
-
And, oh, that deafening slience on a windless night!​
These two weeks have warmed my heart and touched my soul. How could they not?!

...the best bit is the view from the house down to the bay. The ever changing weather, tides and wildlife (seal, birds and eagles) mean that you don't notice time just drifting by.....
